Freshnet Systems provides e-Procurement solutions to the hospitality and leisure industry. Its online ordering portal connects pubs, hotels and restaurants with food and drink suppliers across the UK.

With orders being made twenty four hours a day, every day of the year, the continuous availability of Freshnet’s e-Procurement service is crucial.

Having reviewed a number of possible hosting companies, Freshnet moved from its incumbent provider to NetBenefit in 2007. Following an upgrade in 2009, the infrastructure currently includes Web, Database and Microsoft BizTalk servers.

In addition to the server infrastructure, NetBenefit also provides advanced monitoring and online backup services for Freshnet’s BizTalk server. The complex nature of the BizTalk electronic messaging system means that NetBenefit’s managed data backup service is vital to providing certainty that data could be restored quickly and easily, if and when required. 

“Many of our customers share the same peak periods but since switching hosting providers to NetBenefit, we are confident of being able to provide a continuous service to our customers irrespective of the demand placed on the system. We now have a hosting platform in place that will allow us to concentrate on the future development of our service for existing customers and new markets”, says Adam Parker, operations manager at Freshnet.
