Secure online data backup

We believe that managed backup services should be fast, secure and reliable.

Working with EVault, we have created a fully managed online disk-to-disk backup service which achieves just that. The service speeds up backup and dramatically reduces storage requirements by only backing up new or changed data files. This results in a significant reduction in the amount of time it takes to complete each backup.

NetBenefit manages the online backup service for you. We can help you decide how frequently you need online backups completed (daily, weekly or monthly) and the period of time you would like the data retained for. Our technical team will then install a backup agent on the relevant server(s) and perform a backup of the designated data creating the initial dataset. NetBenefit manages the ongoing backup for you in line with the agreed policy, leaving you to restore data, or carry out ad hoc backups, whenever required.

The NetBenefit backup and restore service is designed so that restoring files and folders is user initiated and fast to complete. Simply login to your browser based control panel and select "restore from a backup", click on the files that you would like to restore and hit go.

What can you backup?

NetBenefit's data backup and restore service allows you to use one solution to protect multiple platforms including:

• CentOS 4 and above
• Debian
• Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008
• Red Hat Enterprise 4 and 5
• VMware environment

Plugins for both MS SQL databases and MS Exchange are available. The plug-ins ensure that data can be backed up whilst these databases are running and restored quickly without causing any degradation to the database.

Resilient storage solution

NetBenefit's backup service stores the data on two different SANs located at two different NetBenefit data centres. With the data replicated on each storage device, this provides increased resilience for all of the files that you need backed up.
