NetBenefit first web host in Europe to offer new Dell™ PowerEdge™ servers

NetBenefit, one of the UK's most experienced managed hosting providers and part of Group NBT Ltd, today announced the availability of Dell’s latest server range, the Dell PowerEdgeTM1950 and PowerEdgeTM2950 servers. NetBenefit is the first managed hosting company in Europe to deploy the new Dell products, which are aimed at satisfying today’s high performance and business-critical hosting requirements. The PowerEdgeTM servers integrate the latest dual core Intel Xeon processors, lowering power consumption and delivering advances in memory technology.

The enhanced industrial design will give NetBenefit customers cutting-edge capabilities without increased complexity or cost. The new server portfolio is also specifically designed to lower power consumption by up to 25 percent, whilst providing an increase in performance per watt of electricity of up to 169 percent. Crucially, this will help reduce the environmental impact of data centre power demands.
