NetBenefit continues to expand with new green data centre
NetBenefit partners with Lumison for 100% renewable energy
NetBenefit has experienced considerable growth in its customer base over the past 12 months which, combined with the increasing need for more energy efficient managed hosting solutions, has driven the demand for the expansion of its managed hosting capabilities.
The design of NetBenefit’s facility within the data centre also incorporates important energy efficient initiatives, such as cold aisle containment, which results in a saving of up to 30% on energy used for air conditioning and 10% on energy used by servers.
Jonathan Robinson, chief operating officer, NetBenefit, comments: "This new data centre has given us the opportunity to design our services from the ground up. Lumison and NetBenefit have developed an excellent partnership during the development of this new managed hosting site. The state of the art facility allows customers with business critical websites to buy managed hosting services with green credentials without having to compromise on the reliable and flexible managed hosting services that are the cornerstone of NetBenefit’s service."
Further advantages brought by the new data centre include high power density hosting with 22 amps per rack, as opposed to the common maximum of only 10 amps per rack, as well as providing all customers with the option of access to the new Gbit network.
